It's Been Ages

So, what have we been up to?
I've been doing a lot of writing. I probably have 5 projects in a variety to places and phased. It's been crazy, very crazy, but I still love the art of writing. Am I good at it? I try, but anyone can get better. Now it's time to focus and get the work done!

Writing Blocks

It's a serious thing. Now I didn't say writing block. I said "writing blocks" because it's not exactly what you would think. I'm not stuck in terms of not knowing what to write. It's really finding the time and mental capacity to close off the world and get to it. 

I've been doing a lot more. I stated taking martial arts about 8 months ago and it really takes up a lot of time. By time I come home I'm beat. And then there is recovery time for that. I'm no spring chicken. Often by Friday my body feels completely worn. 

I recently started a new job. It's like relearning things all over again. It's not easy and being responsible for more people, having a greater impact on more people, and coming in on the tail end of someone else's work is hard. A huge project to be completed Monday and Tuesday and I just started there. Not easy. 

There are a variety of other issues I am having but can't even be bothered listing them all. I would sound like the biggest complainer on the planet if I don't already. However, no matter the reason, my project suffers. I have to really schedule out writing time in the same I do everything else. Only way it's going to get done! 

Taking my Time

What a year so far. Things have been great. I think my head is spinning with all the things I have accomplished and have yet to do. So much left to discover and understand. 

Keep writing folks. I've been struggling to find time and motivation. It's really been a struggle but get it done. One sentence at a time.

Need a Distraction

At my second funeral in a week. Last week my grandmother. This week a childhood friend. 

Some ways I would rather be at work than a funeral but you know how that goes. 

Anyway, I dunno. Life is short. Enjoy it.
